Medicinal herbs

Time for some medicinal herbs for the health magazine Vitalt Vetande. This is a hybrid known as peppermint, a cross between the watermint and spearmint.

We have watermint growing almost like a weed in our kitchen garden. At least it smells nice.

Congratulations, Leif! We just bought an allotment and are currently planning what to use it for. One of our neighbours says we shouldn't grow any aromatic plants at all because they have a tendency to invade and act like weed in the other allotments, but maybe people will forgive us if the plants smell good enough.

Some plants and herbs can be prevented from becoming weed by planting them in a bottomless bucket dug into the ground. If I didn´t have the amount of space I have at the moment I most certainly would plant my sunroot (Helianthus tuberosus) and horseradish (Armoracia rusticana) in buckets.

Thanks for the tip, Leif! I'll keep it in mind. Our first step will be to remove all the dead plants and tidy up a bit. I hope the old lawn mower is still working.
