I am getting more and more involved in painting and drawing food. Nette Lövgren at Liber recently asked me to complete the illustration of their educational book on raw materials for food production. This is how to hang a slaughtered calf up to tenderize the meat. The book says it should be hung by the hips for a better quality.

Waxwing
The bird life of Lund is quite poor this time of the year but some of the winter birds are very beautiful. Waxwings breed in the Northern woods but come down South searching for berries in fall and keep moving around through the winter. Sometimes they get drunk because of the natural fermentation in the rowan berries they feed on. This one looks all right though.

Both were shot but escaped and drowned in a lake, where the hunters never found them. I illustrated the article with this picture.
