Course start

My watercolor course started again a couple of weeks ago. These are some of the first demonstrations: how to use values for shape and how to render structure with different kinds of brushstrokes.

Brown Bear

The tricky thing with this illustration was to emphasize the weight and strength of the animal and present it as the alert and agile animal it is.

Golden Eagle

I will be working on the predator folder for the next few weeks. This is a young Golden Eagle.

Wolf sketch

Here is another sketch for the predator folder. Unfortunately I have never seen a wild wolf, so this is a member of the Kolmården pack.
