Raging waves

In this painting I wanted to underline the contrast between the solid rocks and the raging waves and also emphasize the sunshine with strong shadow tones. The time and place are the same as in the previous post.

Beautiful! A seascape that makes me want to head to the ocean straight away!

Måns, has conseguido plasmar lo que querías subrayar; la luz, el contraste y el movimiento de las olas.
Impresionante. Eres un auténtico maestro.

you're really there, all the movement and power of the breakers is in your painting. lovely. . I see you use grainy paper , it certainly gives tooth and light; but don't you find you have to insist to get the darks in?

Thanks, all of you! I do find I have to use force to get the darks in and that helps me stay out of too much detail. In fact it's one of the reasons why I use rough paper, beside the drybrushing possibility it offers.
