Virgin Atlantic doesn't allow pointed objects like watercolor brushes on board, so I took a photo of the Rocky Mountains at 37,938 feet and used it as a reference for this painting. Next time I'll shorten my brush and see if they accept it.
oh...brushes are SO dangerous! I hyjacked a Boeing with a 01...;-) thank you for the feedback- Ryanair hates colours in a tube, by the way. The watercolour is superb.
I don't fly very often but next time I'll try to do some painting. Even if the service on board is usually very good, it's kind of boring to sit there doing nothing for hours. And I do have some trouble finding time to paint, so why not! If only they accept my brushes...
Hej Måns, I will refrain from any viewpoints about how ridiculous it is with this attitude from the operator. What might be interesting to know is where, when and how you were confronted with this information about these brushes being “not allowed”, meaning they must consider them as a potential threat to the safety of the flight? Great sketch btw.

Thanks, Torben! It was a fellow painter that told me about Virgin Atlantic not allowing brushes. I never asked them myself. /Måns
OK - many thanks, and nice to know just in case.
