Light phase

Light colored Common Buzzards are quite common in the south of Sweden. This is an illustration for the bird magazine Anser.

Wonderful Mans! Bathing in light!

Thanks, Paschalis! I had to summon up courage to paint it like this, one wing in strong sunlight and the other in deep shadow. But it made sense when it was done.

Me gusta el contraste del ala en sombra y el ala bañada por el sol. Estupenda luz, enhorabuena Måns.

This is an especially strong image, Mans! So very three-dimensional. Well worth taking that risk!

Risks are often worth taking. Without them we would just be repeating ourselves and do the same thing over and over again. Thanks for all your comments!
